Uncle Bethy hosted. Thanks Uncle Bethy!
Sam helped Sujan get the kale salad ready. Later in the evening, he sang some song about loving kale. Or something along those lines. Details are hazy.
Otis got in on the action.

By touching his food, Otis was letting us know he wasn't going to actually eat it.
Who needs turkey when you can use Rebecca's iPhone?
A high five for the hostess!

Thanksgiving Morning: Zoo Time
Time to study the maps.
Otis decided where he wanted to go.
Where's the snake?
Synchronized "Watch your head!"
Hey Otis!
Hey Otis!
Hey Prairie Dog, Sam, and Otis!
Lily pad jumpers.

Chocolate, Chocolate Milk, Sammy, Toys, and All the Toys.
Some assorted November good times ...
Lollipops for Sammy
The boys made Thankful Pies in school. I think Sam had some pie on his face when I took this picture. For the record, he was thankful for numbers, Mommy and Dad, Sam and Otis, numbers, and letters.
Otis was thankful for chocolate, chocolate milk, Sammy, toys, and all the toys.
The day after Thanksgiving, we dropped the boys off in New Jersey. But first we got some pancakes with Halmony.

Election Day
On November 6th, Otis and Sam got to vote for the first time while at school. After a brief conference, the boys agreed to vote for Obama, But then Sam switched it up at the last minute. Sammy Max!!
Sujan took them to vote and they kept trying to peek to see who she voted for. One hint - not Sam's choice.
A few days before the election, we received an e-mail from school that stated that the discussion earlier in the day was about what the president did all day.
The answers:
Guess which one Otis said?
A few other anecdotes:
A few days after the election, Otis woke up one morning and said "I want Luke Skywalker and Obama to come to my house. They're nice and I want to hug them." More on the recent Star Wars obsession later.
After watching the Thanksgiving Charlie Brown episode, Otis asked me, "How come there isn't an election day Charlie Brown?" Turns out - there is one. Now I've got to track it down.
I told the boys that they would be 7-years-old the next time there was a presidential election. They let me know that there would be a summer Olympics and a new 2nd Ave T train as well when they were 7. They asked me who the next president would be. Sam guessed Mitt Romney. Otis got up from the couch, went straight to the Obama/Biden sticker on the fridge, pointed at Biden's name and asked, "This guy?" Maybe Otis knows something we don't know. Only time will tell.

The answers:
He eats chicken nuggets.
He eats chocolate all the time.
He likes to keep things fair.
I don't know but I think he sits a lot.Guess which one Otis said?
