Guitar Heroes

A little bit before Christmas, Sujan took a couple of days off to hang out with the boys.

There were some good times ahead.

First off - she took her guitar out for the boys to play with.

We might not be raising the boys in a religious household, but they do know how to pray to the Gods of Rock.

A Train fun.

Taking a Train to See Some Toy Trains

Here it comes!

So happy.

The destination - Grand Central to see the Holiday train exhibit at the Transit Museum store.

Needless to say, the boys were enthralled.

Can you spot the Sam & Otis?

All the traveling made Sujan and me tired. The boys had a relax while Sujan got us some Americanos.

Later that night, it was snuggle time.

A Good Use for a Mets Blanket

Granted, I think the best use for a Mets blanket these days would be to burn it, but the boys had other ideas.

Uh oh. Now what?

Stopped cold!

A Lazy Sunday

Last Sunday, we gave the boys some new blocks. Great-Aunt Rosemary and Great-Uncle Brian had given us these blocks awhile ago but we didn't think the boys were ready until now. The blocks date from the Cousin Jason and Cousin Leah era.

The blocks kept the boys engrossed for quite a spell. Sujan ran an errand and noticed that one of Sam's paintings was featured in the Design Lab's window! Way to go Sammy!

After nap time, it was New Jersey time. Couple tees!

Hi Viva!

On the the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend we visited Glen, Jane, and Viva. We hadn't seen them since they had moved out of Brooklyn.

At first the boys were more into the idea of playing on a new couch than breaking bread (or sharing cheddar bunnies) with Viva.

No matter. More Viva time for Sujan.

Sam either was jealous of the attention his mom was giving another kid or he had just noticed the juice boxes.

Looks like apple slices were the answer.

Tea time for two.

Or maybe three.

Park time.

Tire time.

I can't deal with the cuteness.

I kept hoping they would be still for a second so I could get a good picture. No such luck.

The boys lavished attention on Viva.

Before we hit the road to NJ, it was time for more snacks.

And a little more playing.

The Bronx Zoo

Break out your maps!

Elliott was into the sea lions. Otis was into looking elsewhere.

Peacock!

Otis was a boy possessed. He loved it.

Come back!

They gave up. But at least Otis had a leaf in his hand to console him.

Hello frog.

What's next?

Otis is such a little old man.

Sam was more interested in the map than the giraffes behind him.

Otis offered up some some leaves to Elliott.

Bye bye waterfall.
