Thanksgiving Dinner, Part 2

Otis put on a show and impressed Sarah and Rebecca.

Otis refused to eat the apple pie and ice cream that Sujan put together for him. But he couldn't get enough of the pumpkin pie fed to him by Rebecca.

And then it was ice cream time. Come on Sujan, everyone knows that you aren't supposed to mix ice cream and pie!

Sam then insisted on more turkey after finishing his ice cream.

While waiting to leave, Sam reminisced about his sweet victory over Erik.

Thanksgiving at Sean and Rebecca's

Upon arrival, the boys pretended to be shy.

Pretended is the key word.

Sean coaxed them out with promises of Phil Collins.

After a few minutes, the boys insisted we go outside to watch some passing F and G trains.

Back Inside:

Hey Tim!

Hey broccoli!

Otis is ready for Guitar Hero.

Uncle Jim caught up with the Big O.

And then it was time for drinks. Cheers!

That wasn't enough for Otis though. He worked the room.

Otis realized Rebecca hadn't had a chance to toast him so he made his way back.

Thanksgiving Morning

We got out of the house early. First stop - croissants!

Sam was so excited waiting for the F Train that he was shaking. We asked him if he was cold and he said no - just excited.

On the ride back, Sujan was told to wear the Big O's hat. Btw, we have now lost two Mets hats. Sujan convinced Otis to wear the other hat by calling it a special Jose Reyes hat. Reyes, for those who don't know, is their favorite player. But I don't think I've ever seen him wearing a hat that looks like the one Sujan is modeling.

Give the boy back his hat!

Back in Brooklyn.

Prospect Park. Dead leaves, the dirty ground, and chasing squirrels.

Carrie watched the boys for a few hours while Sujan and I went to the Bell House to see Robyn Hitchcock.

I think Otis might have found one of the sculptures we had just seen on the map. Or maybe he was just trying to look like he was doing something really important to ensure that Sam stayed away.

If you can't beat 'em, look over their shoulder.

Either way, it was soon time to go home. We'll definitely be back next year.
