A Saturday in Mid September

On the way to the park.

Hiding from Mom.

Where did she go?

Don't look at her - she won't be able to see us.

Big brother fell on top of little brother to protect him.

Once the threat was gone, it was time for some relaxation.

Back at home, Sam tried to enact some revenge.

Later, it was story time with Carrie and Amy.

Goodbye Governors Island

Picture of the year?

Amelia and Elliott held hands waiting for the ferry.

Holding hands was contagious.

Otis contemplated why Sam got ice cream and he didn't.

Back in Brooklyn. Amelia and Sam tried to find some private time in the bushes.

While waiting for the bus, Otis became fascinated with Balgavy's hair. Who wouldn't be?

Governors Island: Bike Riding Time

It was almost time to wrap up the Labor Day fun. But first, it was bike riding time with your host Erik.

Sam was ready for a ride.

Erik lowered the seat and Otis was ready to push.

The pursed lips mean only one thing - Sam was off to the races.

Oh my.

Everyone gets a turn. Next up - Otis.

Then it was Amelia's turn.

No caption could do this photo justice.

As I said - everyone gets a turn!

Otis told Carrie he was ready to go. The frog backpack wanted to stay though.

Governors Island: Badminton, Ladderball, Racing, Plotting, and Bicycles

Badminton Time!

Sam had a good strategy.

Who needs badminton when you also have ladderball?

Goal!

Everyone chase Otis!

Up to no good.

Plotting

I'm assuming an airplane or helicopter just flew by.

I want to ride my bicycle.

Governors Island: A Walk to the Water with Sam

After the ladderball fun, Sam was ready to explore the island a little. First up - the water and the Statue of Liberty.

Get this guy a magazine cover already.

I placed the poor guy on the fort so I could take some pictures. He was game for the good photo op.

As a reward, I bought him some ice cream. I had every intention of getting some for Otis but it didn't happen. In the following days, Sam repeatedly mentioned how he had ice cream on Governors Island but I don't think Otis believed him.

Running back to the Big O to tell him about the ice cream.

Governors Island: Ladderball Adventures, Part 2

In which Amelia plays badminton with Yu, Sam tries to dismantle the ladderball ladder, and Otis takes a walk with Sujan.

Sam starts the process of trying to figure out how to dismantle the ladder.

Amelia was really getting the hang of it.

Nina entered the picture while Sam got in some stomping.

New strategy. No more destruction.

Amelia decided to offer her help.

She got bored but Nina had some ideas.

Otis joined the fun.
