Ice Cream, Boats, and Subways

After the Imagination Playground, we got some ice cream and walked across the street to the South Street Seaport.

I think the last time Leah was in town, Otis made the same skeptical face when Leah fed him ice cream.

Halmony taught the boys to describe waves as angry water. Otis likes to call them water angehry. There was a lot of water angry because of many water taxis and The Shark!

Sam climbed up the stairs to get a better view of the ships.

Subway!

Jason came over and Otis snuggled.

Circle baby coloring time.

Meanwhile, back on the couch.

I'm pretty sure this is how David Wright watches the Mets at home now that he's on the disabled list.

Concert time!

Goodnight hug.

A First Visit to the Imagination Playground

Sam gave it his approval right off the bat.

Otis wasn't as sure.

But then he was quickly won over by the sand.

Sam couldn't get enough of the water.

Oh, hello.

Tiptoes.

Who's that?

Meet the Mets Hats

The boys love singing Meet the Mets these days. Well, they at least like to kiss the Mr. Met Bobblehead doll good night every night and bobble his head while saying "Bobble, bobble." They also like to wear their Mets hats for 10 seconds at a time before throwing them off.

Don't ask about the boots. Let's just say it involved a kvetching Otis.

Otis cried for a hat so I gave him mine.

Back Home

After Carrie's birthday party, we went back home to play with strollers.

Elliott joined the fun too.

Brothers hugging.

Elliott enjoyed the tender moment between best friends.

And then back to more pressing matters - doorbell ringing.

Happy Birthday Carrie!

After Griffin's birthday celebration and a nap, it was time to head to The Rock Shop to celebrate Carrie's birthday.

Sam found a Happy Meal and scavenged for some fries. It was Sam's first McDonald's experience. Otis is still ignorant of the bliss of a heavily salted McDonald's french fry.

Otis was too busy watching the traffic on 4th Ave. to care about McDonald's.

Uncle Jim!

Oh man.

Otis made a break for it with Jim in hot pursuit. This is Otis being brought back.

After going back in for 30 seconds, it was time to head down the stairs again. I think Otis was telling me to get the hell out of his way. I'm not kidding. Well, maybe he didn't curse at me.

Dinner! Looks like Elliott likes fries as much as my guys.

Happiness is a warm chicken nugget. I love that both Sam & Otis are in the background of this great picture of Elliott.

There were some really cute hugs and kisses for Carrie as we departed but unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of them.
