New Sunglasses

SHR was given her mom's old '70s era sunglasses. The boys tried them out.

Otis says, "Shut up, I don't look like Elton John in these."

A Playdate with Sean and Rebecca

SHR and I went to go see Where the Wild Things Are. Sean and Rebecca hung out with the boys.

Otis told Rebecca that he'd much rather hang out with her than see a dumb movie.

Sam told Sean that nuzzling is much more entertaining than any Maurice Sendak book.

Keys!

Gimme, gimme!

Dreaming of Sean and Rebecca babysitting them again so their parents can see Fantastic Mr. Fox!

Learning to Crawl

If Double Trouble had trading cards, these would be great photos for them.

Otis is close to crawling.

But Sammy is even closer. So so so close.

Well, maybe not that close.

A Trip to Philadelphia

It has been extremely difficult finding time to unpack our new apartment. So two weekends ago, I decided to take the boys to Philadelphia while SHR stayed in Brooklyn to work on the apartment. Balgavy joined me.

Aunt Amy, Sam, Sophie, Otis, Great Aunt Rosemary

Otis likes identical twins.

Double picture action for Double Trouble

Single Trouble

Double Trouble
We only had about three hours in Philly but there was enough time for a Pat's run. Of course, I brought one home for SHR. Next time, the boys get their own cheesesteaks.

Double Trouble Visits the Brooklyn Museum

I met Jane, Viva, and Jane's friend Bonnie with her daughter Polly.

Sam was perplexed by his first visit to a museum. Viva was nonplussed. She's an old pro already visiting the sites of the city.

We were there to see the rock and roll photography exhibit. The place was teeming with strollers and headphones.

Otis wasn't sure how he felt about Bjork.

No Heat At Home Leads to Two Fun Days In Jersey

Last week, we didn't have heat for a couple of days. The boys got to go to New Jersey!

Sam loved his new toy. He loves anything that allows him to bounce.

As usual, Otis wasn't so sure at first.

But then he came around.

For some reason, Halmony wanted the boys to pose for some pictures in the bathtub. They were not amused. Actually Otis was fine with it but Sam was not. Behold some amazing pouting.

Such stellar pouting leads to napping. I love how Halmony wedged him in all safe and sound.

Oh geez. Cute.

The first time watching Sesame Street. They were transfixed by the robot scene.

Catching Up on November

11/1 was Uncle Chuck's birthday. The boys sent their best.

And then ate it.

Such good posture.

Exciting milestone.

Otis is much more successful at actually getting the food in his mouth. Sam is very successful at having them go down his sleeve or getting them stuck on his butt.

Otis has been fully won over to the charms of the swings.

They are so ready to crawl. Any day now. Honest.

Amelia's 1st Birthday Party

Apparently, I am not capable of taking good pictures in brownstones above 6th Ave. For the second time this month, I have to depend on Jim. All but the Yankees picture were taken by him. That was taken by Bart. Boo!!!!

Dave is now using this image as his profile picture. Jim and I demand royalties.

Sam has been sad that I've shaved my beard. He was astounded by Jamie's.

Coogen put his Yankees cap on Otis. Look how sad he looks.

Otis, you have to wait 4 more months for your birthday party! Hands off the merchandise.
